I enjoy reading the surveys I receive on our agents. It shows what a great group we have and that our clients appreciate hard work. .
Last week, I received an email from Bruce T. about Kim McClintock that stated, “The reason I would jump through hoops for Kim McClintock is because Kim McClintock jumped through hoops for me. One of the nice things about being Branch Manager is when I get to brag about our agents. And it is even more fun, when the community supply the kudos that I get to share. Last week, while the temp was 105 degrees outside, I received these cool written comments about your colleagues in the office. I hope the weather cooperates with our free Community Shred It Day this Saturday., May 5th. The “Shred It” Truck will be here on the Dierbergs Deer Creek Crossing lot across from our office at 2985 Hwy K from 10am to noon, so it will be available rain or sunshine. Boxes of papers shredded in seconds while you wait.

Congratulations to Barb Cosgrove for being named the Prudential Select Properties Administrative Person of the Year. Great choice if I don’t say so myself. For the first time in the history of the award, the manager of the office has awarded her an all expenses paid trip for her and her husband to any place she says they should go toJ. Talk about your good news, bad news week……
Good news is that I got to attend yesterday’s NCAA Midwest Final.
The bad news is that I was surrounded with Jayhawk fans. Nothing like listening to the “Rock, Chalk, Jayhawk” victory chant.
Great news is that I have the privilege to accompany my dad to WashingtonD.C. tomorrow on his Honor Flight to the World War II monument and other special honors for the WWII vets from St. Louis.
Bad news is that we have to be at the airport at 3:45am.
Good news is that Katie Otto from Maris will be our guest speaker at our meeting tomorrow.
The bad news is that I will miss the meeting.
Good news is that Kim and Karen are running the meeting.
The really bad news is that I’m still remembering that I had to sit thru an entire basketball game with Jayhawk fans. And remembering the Mizzou upset of a week ago.
The good news is that the Kansas fans left town.
There can be no bad news with that information.

Attended meeting this morning with members of the EconomicDevelopmentCenter as guest speakers. St. CharlesCounty unemployment now stands at 6.5% in Jan. While still leaving many families hurting, it has dropped over the last few months and ranks below the State, metropolitan and national averages. The 2011 retail spending in the County also approached the pre-recession levels. So a few points to reinforce that the economy in the county is starting to respond in a positive direction.
EDC continuing to encourage start up of small businesses. Typical 504 Loan Structure is Lender 50%, SBA (Small Business Association) 40% and Borrower 10%. Happy to share with you contacts and information if you have clients who are talking about starting a business or expanding the business.
